Government Contractor — GST TDS

A Government department awards a single works contract of ₹8 lakh to A Ltd. A Ltd. raises four invoices of ₹2 lakh each. The contractor tells the department: “Each invoice is below ₹2.5 lakh, so GST TDS under Section 51 is not applicable.”
